A couple of teams were bolstering their rosters for the season, making sure they had the personnel for the long season.
The Harlem Knights signed pitchers Vic Sorrell and Milt Gaston to help out a regardedly thin bullpen.
The Hershey Squirts penned outfielders Pete Scott, Billy Zitzman and Paul Easterling, as well as pitchers Al 
Shealy, Phil Page. They also signed Ossie Orwoll, a first baseman who can also pitch.
