Biography Freitas major league career may have been short and un-impressive, but back in his home state, in the Pacific Coast League, Freitas was a dominant pitcher for Sacremento, leading them in 1942 to their first PCL championship in 32 years. Freitas retired with 224 victories in the PCL, the most by any left-hander.
