Biography
Mickey Haslin, a utility infielder, played with Philadelphia (1933-36), the Boston Braves (1936) and the New York Giants (1937-1938). While his career may have been brief, he did take part in some historic events.
In 1935, he was a part of the Braves team that participated in the last game of Babe Ruth. On May 24, 1935, he drove in Philadelphia's lone run in a 2-1 loss to Cincinnati -- the first night baseball game in MLB.
One of his most productive seasons came in 1935 when he hit .265 in 407 at-bats with 3 home runs, 52 RBI and 5 stolen bases. For his career, he totaled 9 home runs, 109 RBI, 8 SB and a .272 average. In 1934, he led the Phillies in pinch hits.
