Biography
Lodigiani recently served as the Sox's part-time scout in northern California and had evaluated the likes of Jack McDowell and current Sox general manager Ken Williams when he was a player. He also scouted Oregon and Washington since 1963.

"Dario, along with Jerry Krause and Bart Johnson, was a key figure in bringing me to the White Sox organization in 1982," Williams said.

Lodigiani, who was born in San Francisco on June 6, 1916, played six seasons with the Philadelphia Athletics (1938-1940) and the White Sox (1941, 1942, 1946). Lodigiani, an infielder, batted .260 with 16 home runs and 156 RBIs in his career. He was a high school teammate of Joe DiMaggio.
