Biography
Nahem made his major league debut in 1938 with the Brooklyn Dodgers. In June 1940, Brooklyn traded Nahem, along with Carl Doyle, Bert Haas and Ernie Koy to the St. Louis Cardinals for Joe Medwick and Curt Davis.
In 1941, Nahem had his best season, pitching 81.2 innings for the Cardinals with a 5-2 record and a 2.98 ERA. He played for the Phillies in 1942 before joining the Army during World War II.
He returned to the Phillies in 1948, pitching 59 innings with a 7.02 ERA with a 3-3 record.
