MUSKEGON TAKES 3-0 LEAD

HARLEM - Muskegon scored nine times in the second, including 6 unearned runs, as the Dawgs won easy at Harlem, 9-4. Ted Lyons managed to eke out 5+ innings to get the win.
Nick Etten booted to consecutive ground balls to start the second, opening the floodgate for the huge inning. Before the dust cleared, it was 9-0, and all but over.
The Knights managed to touch Lyons for four runs, capped by a three-run Charlie Keller home run, but never got any closer. Gabby Hartnett had three hits for Muskegon, and Bama Rowell knocked in three runs.
Muskegon now holds a 3-0 lead, with Game 4 tomorrow.
