    PASSEAU'S TWO-HITTER STOPS KNIGHTS, 4-1

Claude Passeau allowed only two hits in eight innings and Augie Galan had three hits as North Dallas defeated Harlem 4-1, to take a 2-0 lead in the 1945 World Series. Passeau (1-0) walked three and struck out three as he only allowed back-to-back hits to Mike Sandlock and Skeeter Newsome in the fifth which lead to the Knights only run. The Forty broke a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the fifth with a pair of runs. Jim Tobin pitched a 1-2-3 ninth for the save.
