FORTY ROLL TO EASY VICTORY, 8-3

In a game loaded with wild pitching, North Dallas rolled to an easy 8-3 victory to take a commanding 3-0 lead in the 1945 World Series.

Thirteen walks were issued by both clubs, but North Dallas made the most of them with an 8-2 lead after seven innings. Bob Muncrief (1-0) took the easy victory, but was injured and will miss the rest of the Series. He is the second North Dallas pitcher in as many games to fall to an injury.

Phil Cavarretta and Jeff Heath had three hits apiece for the Forty. Whitey Kurowski had two hits and two RBI for the Knights.
