PAWTUCKET - Billy Rogell's two-out RBI single in the ninth gave
Pawtucket their only run in a 1-0 victory over North
Dallas, giving Pawtukcet their first-ever DBS title.
Red Ruffing (2-0) gave up only five hits in his
nine-inning duel with Claude Passeau, who allowed only
six hits.
This is the end of a string of three-straoght titles
by North Dallas, and the first time in DBS history the
World Series has been a sweep.
