FORTY SLUG TO STAY ALIVE, 12-5

On the verge of elimination, North Dallas went on a run-scoring barrage, winning 12-5. Aided by four home runs, including two from Eddie Miller, the Forty now trail 3-1 in the best-of-7 series.

Auguie Galan hit a three-run shot in the top of the third to open the scoring, and added one in the fifth and an other three in the sixth to go up 7-0. Brooklyn, however, reallied for five of their own in the sixth, capped with Dale Mitchell's grand slam. However, 7-5 was as close as Brooklyn would get.

Miller homered for the second time in the game, Roy Cullenbine added one of his own, and North Dallas wound up getting those runs back, winning handily 12-5.
